It's time to enjoy NZ Book Month!

After the great success of last year's inaugural NZ Book Month, this year's event is sure to be an even bigger hit. NZ Book Month is a month long celebration (Sep.3-30) of New Zealand books and writers which aims to get more New Zealanders reading NZ books and to inspire book lovers all over the country.

To mark the start of book month the winners of The Six Pack Two were announced yesterday at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. If you are unfortunate enough to not have heard of The Six Pack, then make sure you get acquainted with it this year - it's a great anthology of six pieces of new Kiwi writing published to celebrate NZ Book Month. According to the NZ Book Month website, The Six Pack Two could be described as a sampler of relationship stories; Through the eyes of children, young adults and omniscient narrators, we see love at its best and worst; in its optimistic, sweaty-palmed infancy, sly and devious between cuckolding couples, gasping its last amid broken crockery, or fading in the rear vision mirror of retreating cars.
